The Editing

The Editing is the process of choosing which scenes will be included in the movie and how they will be put together.

The Editor is responsible for creating the movie’s story by working with the footage that has been shot by the Director. The editor also has to make sure that the story is told in a way that is easy to follow and makes sense.

To do this, the editor will often have to rearrange scenes, delete scenes, or add new scenes that were not originally in the script.

The Costumes

As with most adaptations, there are some changes to the source material. In this case, the biggest change is the addition of a visual element: the costumes. The original light novel relied heavily on the fact that the characters were meant to be “ordinary”, and so their clothes were fairly plain and unremarkable. In the anime adaptation, however, the characters are brought to life with a vibrance and color palette that helps them stand out from their more drab surroundings.

The costuming in How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend: The Movie is nothing short of outstanding. Each character’s outfit is not only faithful to the original designs, but also reflects their unique personality. The movie’s version of Megumi Kato, for instance, wears a frilly pink dress that perfectly captures her girlish innocence. Similarly, Ryougi Shiki’s all-black ensemble conveys her stoic nature, while also making her look quite stylish.

In addition to being faithful to the source material, the costume design in How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend: The Movie also helps to create a richer and more visually interesting world. By contrast, the light novel’s comparatively plain visuals made it feel like less of a “world” and more like a slice-of-life story that just happened to have some supernatural elements. This was likely intentional on the part of the author, but it ultimately hurt the overall immersion factor for readers.

The film does an excellent job of rectifying this issue by making sure that each character looks like they belong in their respective environment. This is most apparent in scenes taking place at school or other public places, where everyone looks like they just stepped out of a fashion magazine. Even in more private settings, such as when the main characters are hanging out at one of their homes, there is still a noticeable effort made to ensure that each person looks appropriate for their surroundings. This attention to detail creates a much greater sense of immersion for viewers and helps make How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend: The Movie a more enjoyable experience overall.

The Overall Experience

In “How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend: The Movie”, we follow the story of Tomoya Mikadono and his quest to find a date for the school festival. After much convincing, he finally gets his childhood friend, Megumi Katou, to agree to go with him. However, things take a turn for the worse when he finds out that she may be suffering from an unrequited love for him.

Despite the movie’s focus on Tomoya and Megumi’s relationship, it does a great job of exploring the complexities of teenage romance. The film does a beautiful job of capturing the awkwardness, confusion, and excitement that comes with falling in love for the first time. It’s a touching and relatable story that will resonate with anyone who has ever been in love.

The film’s aesthetic is also worth mentioning. The muted colors and soft lighting give the film a dreamlike quality that further enhances its emotional impact.

Overall, “How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend: The Movie” is a touching and relatable exploration of teenage romance. It’s visually stunning and features two great lead performances. If you’re looking for a moving romantic drama, this is definitely worth checking out.
